This year we celebrate our centennial — 100 years of helping guests explore the beauty and tranquility of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. In honor of our founders Charlie & Petra Boostrom who established Clearwater Historic Lodge back in 1915, we’ve been sharing stories about the Boostrom’s and the early days of Clearwater Historic Lodge and the Gunflint Trail.
In 2012, we were fortunate to capture firsthand stories of growing up at Clearwater on the Gunflint Trail from Charlie & Petra’s daughter, Harriet Boostrom Taus.
