With fear of alarming too many of you with my previous post about how fast the summer flies by I just want to say we do get out and enjoy ourselves from time to time. Having one of the worlds best wilderness areas right at our doorstep to explore means we can head out on a whim for the afternoon, or even sometimes overnight. We definitely aren’t putting down 100 miles on a week long trip, but having the park as a back drop to our blurred days helps keep things in perspective. It’s August in two days, the angle of the sun has noticeably changed and the sky actually gets dark in time for sleep and a few ferns are starting to die off. If I assuaged any fears that we work too hard to start I will end with saying that those are some of the earliest signs of fall, and we all know what comes after that…
