A deposit is necessary to confirm your reservation. The deposit is equal to a 1-night stay and will be charged to your credit card when you book your stay online or over the phone. The remaining balance due will be charged upon check-in.
Canoe Trip Outfitting Deposits
For a Canoe Trip Package, the deposit is $50 per person. For a canoe-only reservation, the deposit is $50 per Kevlar canoe or $25 per aluminum or Royalex canoe.
The cost for additional lodge room guests above the stated occupancy is $25/person per night. This fee includes breakfast. The cost for additional cabin guests above the stated occupancy is $35/per person per night, or $140/ per person per week.
Cancellations must be made on the phone by dialing Clearwater Historic Lodge at 218-388-2254. Cancellations made 60 days or more before the scheduled arrival will receive a 90% refund of the deposit. Cancellations made between 59 days and 8 days before scheduled arrival will receive a 50% refund of the deposit. Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will receive no refund of the deposit. **Please note: Cancellations made on the day of arrival, no shows, or early departures will be charged the full amount of the scheduled stay, including tax. There are no exceptions.
Check-in time is after 3:00 pm on the arrival date. Check-out time is by 10:00 am on the day of departure.
Pets are permitted in certain cabins at Clearwater Historic Lodge for an additional fee of $25/night per pet or $135/week per pet. Cabins 1 through 6 are pet-friendly. Pets are not allowed in cabins 7 and 8 or our lodge. Service animals are permitted throughout the property. Pets must be leashed at all times, and no pet shall be left unattended in any cabin. Pets should be kept off of furniture and bedding at all times.
There is no smoking permitted inside any building on the property. If smoke is detected after check-out, a $300 cleaning fee will be charged to the guest.
Care of Property/Damage Policy
Guests are expected to care for the property. Damage or breakage incurred during the occupancy will be the guest’s responsibility and must be reported and paid for prior to departure. Rearranged furniture should be placed back in its original position. Guests must leave the property in a clean condition. In the event of damages or excessive cleaning requirements, additional charges will be applied at a rate of $50 per hour. Missing items will be charged to the guest at the replacement cost. In the event that these charges are incurred, Clearwater Historic Lodge will charge the guest’s credit card on file and send a statement of charges via email.
