BWCA Boundary Waters Rentals – Kevlar Canoes, BWCA Gear, Motorboat & Kayak Rentals on the Gunflint Trail

Banner Image

We make it easy to schedule and secure your bwca canoe rentals or watercraft and gear rentals online. Just click the BOOK NOW link to see our selection and get started!

Whether you need a lightweight kevlar canoe rental and camping gear for your BWCAW trip, a boat and motor to traverse and fish Clearwater Lake or a solitary kayak excursion, we’ve got the equipment to get you there. Our boundary waters rentals are for full-day rental only (no half-day rates). We have sturdy and stable aluminum canoes for Clearwater Lake day-tripper excursions to the palisades or Mountain Lake overlook and are a great option for those seeking a dry-entry into the vessel (meaning you can load on shore and shove off). Our kevlar canoes are wet-entry/exit only (meaning you need to load and enter the vessel in the water). The benefit of kevlar canoes is the substantial decrease in weight when compared to the aluminum counterpart for portaging from lake to lake. The downside is that kevlar is extremely fragile when it comes to rocks and shorelines and can be damaged quite easily if not handled properly and are quite expensive to repair (thus the wet-entry/exit only stipulation). If you are new to canoeing, not planning to portage or unsure of your abilities or willingness to perform a wet-entry, we recommend using an aluminum canoe for your excursions. We offer a shuttle service to transport your canoe rental(s) to another lake or entry point if desired. Fee’s for this service are based on distance from our location.
